The Hydro Drive is a robust 100 horsepower commercial duty azimuth drive designed for use in small highly maneuverable workboats. These tough azimuths have short legs, heavy duty fixed pitch propellers, over sized steering gears, rugged cast housings and protective shear pins. Like the HD3, the Hydro Drive is a robust marine azimuth drive designed to withstand the worst marine working conditions.
The Hydro Drive is best known for being the propulsion and steering systems on the log broncs. Over the years these impressive azimuths have been installed on small passenger ferries, oil skimmers, small workboats, fish boats and in hybrid diesel electric applications.
